I started working with dogs because they are more receptive to my bubbly energy and I want to spend my time with creatures who really enjoy life. I enjoy walking and running with them as needed. If they seem more hyper that day, we run! This isn't a side gig for me and I take my job very seriously. I don't want to limit this just to dogs. I have cared for many animals including birds, cats, rats, hamsters, bunnies, fish, frogs... and crickets so they could stay alive to then be fed to the frog... his name was sock... I love taking in little moments on walks like watching squirrels and asking dogs why birds think they have the nerve to just fly into their yards like they own the place. I also enjoy the day no matter the weather. Rain, Snow, Wind, bring it on. I love it all and I have all the gear to handle it. I even carry water and collapsible bowls on hot days. I've also given my fair share of medications to various animals including pills to dogs who try to be sneaky and spit them out, eye gel on a wriggly puppy, ear gel on a cat who would only allow me to apply it if I cuddled him for a while first, liquid injected into a dog's mouth under her tongue and the same to two hairless rats to which I would say "Put some pants on and show some decency man!" I've been instructed on giving a dog a shot in case of emergency but it hasn't happened yet. I have also taken a course on dog CPR and plan on taking more courses in other aspects of caring for animals. I have not had to do any injections yet but I have been shown how and am willing to do it if the need arises. I'm so excited to meet new pets!
