When a client books a 5 night stay but doesn't pick their pet up until late 4-6pm the 6th day, shouldn't the owner be charged your day care fee for the 6th day?

It depends on what time they dropped off on the first day. Each "night" is a 24 hour chunk of time, so if they dropped off in the evening and picked up reasonably close to the drop off time, you don't need to worry about charging for any extra time, but if they dropped off in the morning, it would be entirely reasonable to add on a daycare fee to cover the extra hours they were in your care.

Charges for extra time should be discussed at the M&G. I always ask for specific drop off and pickup times, then explain that the Rover charge is for a 24-hour period starting at dropoff time. I give them about a 3-hour window but anything over 4 hours difference gets a $10 daycare charge.

In your case it sounds like they paid for 5 days but were actually gone 6 days. I would contact Rover support to see about extending the stay and getting paid for the extra day. If it's already happened you may have to just chalk it up to experience.
