What should I do about an unresponsive sitter?

Question! I've booked my sitter and paid her, but she's being very unresponsive. I want her to come meet my pets, and she agreed to this when I booked; however, I can't nail down a time for her to visit because she doesn't respond to either my texts or messages for days at a time (I've tried contacting her both through the Rover app and through texts). When she does respond, she's friendly, but I still can't get her to commit to a time. I've sent her multiple texts at this point, and I feel like just canceling on her, although she have very good reviews. Maybe this is just a personality thing? Although I think 5 days is a really long time to not respond to someone's text. Any advice? Should I cancel? Can I cancel after I've paid?

you can cancel after you have paid. check their cancellation policy(each sitter gets to set their policy to one of 3 settings). If it is strict you may have to call Rover for more assistance. but I would definitely Move on. If there is a reason she can't respond timely, she needs to tell you why

If you paid through Rover, the sitter will not be paid until roughly a couple days after the service is complete. Any Rover charges are held by Rover until then. It's recommended to have the meet & greet first, and after that, go ahead and book the sitter you want. I'd suggest you contact Rover Support ([Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]) and let them know about this sitter's unresponsiveness (which is unusual) so they can look into it and apply the payment towards another sitter.
