My Chihuahua is 8 years old. She gets really anxious and sometimes even aggressive around other dogs. Whenever we go out of town she also gets really anxious. I was considering buying a thundershirt for her or calming dog treats. What have you found to work best?
If your dog gets anxious and sometimes aggressive around other dogs, the best thing to set her up for success is to not put her in that situation. There are sitters that will care for only one dog at a time (in their home or theirs) without another pet present.
As for calming solutions, different things work better for different dogs. Some solutions include: Plenty of exercise, Thundershirt, Dog Calming Dog Treats/Balms/Sprays, and pheromone type Diffusers.
