Clients giving a short notice for services?

Having to decline customers because of such "short notices" - 1 day or even the day they are leaving town. This does not give me time for a M&G, interaction with my dog and see the med records of the dog. This has happened the last 4 requests. Dont want this to give me a bad reputation with the company.

That happens to all of us. I state on my profile, at the top, that I book up quickly and to read my profile in full. That said, I recently have had repeat customers contact me the night before or day of, to book the stay. They don't check my calendar and I am over-booked.

Best suggestion is to put at the top of your profile that you require a Meet & Greet to make sure the dog(s) are a good fit and reply to potential new customers that you require a m&g and to "please read my profile in full".... Then archive as "...no reply". If I remember correctly, Owner didn't reply... doesn't hurt your score.

I contact my best clients when I see I'm getting booked and offer them a spot and remind them that it's better to book and cancel than need an appointment and have none available. I ask for a deposit (refundable up to 72 hours before their appointment). That cuts down on cancels & last min booking
