Rover on resume? How have you described your responsibilities while presenting yourself as a professional?

I started on Rover when I decied to change careers and go back to become a Vet Assistant and am now in school to become a Veterinary Tech. It gave me the confidence I was making the right decision. I now am applying for jobs and don't have any idea how on earth to put it on my resume. I don't know if I should eve call it http://Rover.com or give it my own name and then reverence Rover. I think the Rover name is known so my tendency would be to put that first. After that, how would you break down your responsibilities other than taking care of dogs? I provide services pre and post op for dogs. I have taken care of dogs with special emotional needs, those who take medicine and they are always welcome in my bed. I want to sound as professional as possible. It is pretty much a full time job when I have between 2-3 dogs including my own and two cats. Please let me know if you have done so and what you woul suggest. I will be reaching out to Rover support team tomorrow to ask for their advice as well and will be sure to share it with you all.

Thanks!

Hi Emily,

In my opinion since you are going to use this resume in an animal field anyone who reads it will have a pretty good idea to what a dog sitter would do. I would definitely mention you handle multiple pets at a time and have that lead into your strengths in organization and multitasking. I list my business by its name and don't mention rover. (no reason why I don't, I guess I had never though about it). I guess that's the small part that makes me feel professional when I see my business name and as my job tittle I have Owner/ Dog Lover. Although I see nothing wrong with mentioning rover.

I hope this helps :) :)

Awesome thank you so much for your response! That is perfect, "owner/dog lover" I did mention Rover after I wrote Doggie Day Care.
