Can you see a response to a negative review in the app?

We recently had a very unfair negative review. I honestly think this person just wanted a free stay. We were informed before the stay that one of their dogs had behavorial issues, so we kept him seperate his entire stay. Also, he got dirty in the yard and we asked the owner if we could bathe him. She responded that he doesnt like baths but we could try. These dogs constantly pooped and peed everywhere in our house, and the owners were informed of this several times during the stay. So she leaves this scathing review about how her dog got "hurt" by other dogs even though he was kept alone the whole time, and that he takes baths just fine and doesn't bite people (which he did). I responsed to her review with actual quotes from the owner that this was definitely not the case, but my response isn't showing up. I checked on the computer, and I see it, but I don't see it on the app. Since most people use the app, I am more concerned about seeing it show up on the app. Do I have to respond separately on the app? Thanks!

This is one Rover suggestion I don’t follow- I reply in painful detail that is always backed up by requiring all texts go through the app and using security footage at my home or my own footage captured by a Petcube I bring to clients homes along with photos that are geo tagged

Even with all that Rover won’t remove a bad review so I don’t take the opportunity to apologize I use it to help others be aware of the bad clients and let new clients know the great detail and level care I give. The best reply is truth with no slanderous intention and that you followed Rover rules

While you can't see the response in the App it is on the webpage, but you have to drill down quite a bit to find it. Shit happens and you cannot please everyone every time - best of luck in the future

And that you tried to handle the issue privately but Rover has created this arena to allow for a one time response from the sitter. The only apology to them is sharing the truth where 1000’s visit daily. Be professional and also rate them poorly with detailed info-

I’ve had 2 as bad as that and were 100% lies. Rover says even though they will modify outright lies about sitters they decided not to in my case even with full video and text in app proof. They said get more 5 star reviews so they get pushed down . - screen the crazy out by researching clients

Sorry to hear! I am sure you contacted Rover support? What did they say? I personally would not take this lightly, because you are being accused of animal cruelty. CUTS? A dog fight will not result in cuts on another dogs body. Do make sure you call Rover and discuss this with them. Good luck.

Hi, yes we were in contact with rover and they were fine about it. We told them about the owners lack of communication during the stay and that we kept him seperate so we don't know if this is real or not. We didn't get in trouble or anything. But I'm just concerned about the loss of business.
