How long should I typically wait before archiving a pet sitting request?

Archiving question

I archive requests right away to leave my availability open just in case the client doesn’t get back to you in a timely manner.

I archive fairly immediately on new clients since it doesn't prevent you from continuing the conversation or finalizing the booking.

My initial response to a new client requesting a stay includes a request for a M&G. Responses to repeat clients just include my availability. If there is no response to that message, or if we do hold a M&G and there is no response, 48 hours later I send a reminder message. "Hi, X, are you still wanting me to sit Fido? My calendar is filling up and I do not guarantee a spot until we have held a meeting and the request has been paid for. Please let me know if your plans have changed. " If there is no response to that message in 24 hours, I archive as owner didn't respond.

Other sitters archive immediately so they will show up in search results.

So when you archive the client, they can still message you but you will show as available for work? I didn't Know that. Thanks
