What do you charge for animals not listed on site?

What should I charge for someone who has dogs cats and 6 ferrets? Do you charge for each individual animal or a group rate?

For housesitting I throw small mammals and tank dwellers in for free unless there is a mess factor. Feeding a fish or mouse is about as much effort as watering a plant or getting the mail which is typical housesitting stuff. If the care is more involved like setting rabbits outside each morning or cleaning cages then I charge additional dog rate per cage/tank as someone else suggested or have it as something to throw in free because the person has done something to make my life easier like stocked the fridge with my favorite snacks or lets me use the car.

If I find myself in that situation, as long as the care is minor, I just charge my "additional dog" fee. So if it were me, charging $5 per ferret would be $30 more. However, since it looks like you only do house sitting, it would be up to you to adjust this higher depending on how much work they require. Hope that helps!

For small animals I charge per tank or litter box, and then 2-1. I'd start pricing off by figuring the dogs, then charge my extra pet rate for the kitties, then an additional pet rate for the ferrets.

We can care for ferrets ? Because in the terms of Service it says we can't care for exotics. I wish Rover would have a list of the animals which ARE a good fit for Rover.

If I'm taking care of them, I expected to be paid for it. Even if ferrets aren't covered by the insurance the cats and dogs are, which is the main pricing for the booking. It's no different than charging an extra fee for doing yard work like some sitters do.

If boarding at your house - I have a flat rate for cats, whether one, two or 3 as long as they share one room, as I have a spare cat room. If I do drop in visits, I only charge for one pet.
