Can I change my rates for new clients only?

Woof, I've been working with Rover for 2 months now, and I've quickly accumulated about a dozen very happy clients, about 8 of them have rebooked with me. I wanted to set my rates low as a means of bringing in those first clients, and I was hoping to now raise my rates but only for new clients that reach out to me. If I were to change my profile rates now, am I going to have to explain the change to each client and modify all their future bookings if I don't want to charge them the new rate? Thanks, Scott S

The answer is yes. You will have to notify those clients that they'll continue to get your old rate and that you'll fix the invoice before they pay. There is no way to have two different rates by type of client.

Thanks Karen, that's what I figured I would have to do.

If you do some searching here you should be able to find some suggested messages offered up by other sitters when they've done this.

Rover added adj. rates back in Apr19. I think you're only able to adjust through the website and not app:

1)Access “Past Stays” in your Rover inbox.
2) Open the last conversation you had with your client.
3) Click “Lock rates for future stays” at the bottom of the booking section to adj. rate
