Good lord. When someone messages me or requests me as a sitter, I get a text message, email, AND a notification from the app. I can't seem to find where to manage these. Can anyone help?
You log into your account, click the Profile tab, then Basic Info and on the left click Settings. You can turn off the app notifications through your phones settings.
Wait, but that's just text message notifications. I'd love to turn the email notifications off. Is there a way to do that?
I'm having the same problem. I want Texts, but HATE getting an email with the exact same text info every time... Seriously the worst thing ever... almost enough for me to want to stop sitting.. lol
Okay I'm so happy I'm not the only one who is wicked annoyed with this. I JUST want the text messages. I turned off the app notifications, but I'm still receiving emails. How can the madness stop?!
Why don't you set up a filter in your email, or change your email address to one that you don't use? You can't unsubscribe from these emails because they aren't promotional but you can make them less annoying by using a different email.
I'm done with the bazillion emails too and I'm not even a sitter!
I think not allowing us to opt out of emails is illegal. I can't find any way to disable them in the app, in my app manager (android) or the website
You can stop the emails online in your settings tab. then click emails and unclick (turn grey) the receive emails.
My settings in the app doesn't have notification options.
I had the same issue getting multiple messages like mentioned above, text, email and app messages but I couldn't find anywhere to fix the issue. The real problem was that I was using the Rover app to do so. By logging into my account on the real webpage I easily found toggles to turn off email and text. Now I just get messages through the app which is way less annoying. Try this
