Has anyone ever had an owner NOT show up to get their dog when their booking is complete?

This question would apply to boarding in sitter's home or doggie day care in sitters home.

Yes. I tried contacting them several times without any luck after they were several hours late. When it got close to bed time, I called Rover. They were very helpful, were somehow able to contact the owners who then showed up within 10 minutes claiming they forgot where I lived. Great Rover support.

Sitters have reported this happening from time to time, some attribute to flight delays, heavy traffic or the client is just running late. I would try to reach the client via text or call them, and then at last resort call Rover @ [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. I haven’t had many issues with clients not coming to pick up their dog I did once have a client that showed up 2 hours later than he originally said he would be to pick up his dog and without even letting me know that he would be late. I’m always flexible and understanding when a client is going to be late or needs to change their pick up time as long as they let me know.
