Generally, extended stay rate is a decrease. The reason is the longer a dog stays usually the easier it gets. Nerves and the things that often accompany it as the dog adjusts dissipate as the dog gets more comfortable in your home and you bond more, plus there's just one drop off & pick up, as opposed to lots of coming&going. However, some sitters will increase after a certain number of days to discourage longer stays because that doesn't work well for their household.

I agree with Deb in that most sitters lower the rate for extended stays

I have a lower rate for boarding stays that go more than 14 days. I discount my rate by $5 because the dog and I have gotten used to each other, we've settled into a routine, and I don't have to deal with other clients coming and going (I only take one at a time).
