You can't contact a new sitter without starting a booking. You won't be committed to those dates or have to pay. Both parties have to confirm/agree to a booking before a real payment is processed. But you do have to put in all the info and you should explain that the dates may not be the ones you need.

since it makes you start the booking, so far for me, as soon as she responds the booking gets accepted
