As an international student who moved to Canada recently, am I eligible to sign up as a dog walker and pass the background check?

I moved to Canada this year under a study permit and work permit in Canada. I would like to know if I'm eligible to become a dog walker and does my native address be good for the 5-year address that's asked in the background check.
