Why does this website not allow me to communicate with a dog sitter directly? I'm not trying to book a specific date for daycare, rather, I'm looking to find a good fit for my dog on an ongoing basis. This is extremely frustrating! And now i can't even ask my question. This website is the worst
That's great that you're trying to find the right sitter before the need for specific dates arises. Many people do the same.
Please don't let the website prevent you from contacting sitters for your dog. It asks for dates, to help filter out sitters who will not be available. You can use any date (in this case, I might suggest far in the future) to start a conversation with a sitter.
A search will likely result in dozens of potential sitters (there's 20/pages and in many areas more than 1-2 dozen pages appear), so you may want to use filters provided and zoom map into your neighborhood to see people you'd prefer to connect with. The system encourages you to contact a few at a time. You can send messages via the platform and you can also call them via the 'Rover number' on each sitter's profile.
