Do I provide breakfast, lunch and/or dinner for my pet sitter who is housesitting?

If a pet sitter is staying in my home to look after my dog, should I provide the pet sitter with food during his stay? Breakfast, lunch or dinner items?

No. Generally, it is considered best practice for the pet sitter to arrange for the food they want to have (whether that means the sitter brings it with them, haves it delivered, or leaves to pick food up. It’s lovely if you want to offer them food. Please make it very clear as to what you’re offering them and what is off-limits.

This definitely is something that needs to be discussed at meet& greet because not everyone has the same understanding and expectations. The same applies to all other house privileges that need to be discussed in detail.
