New to rover - can I bring my own dog along?

This may be a taboo question and obvious answer but I can't find clear guidance anywhere. Can I bring my own dog along with me for dog walking or drop-in visits? He's extremely friendly but I could understand how some owners may be uncomfortable with this. What are Rover's rules and what do people do with their own dogs when caring for others?? TY in advance!

As Deb wrote, Rover has no rules about such things because every sitter/walker is independent, not a Rover employee.

I would think nothing about having other dogs with you when you are walking. However, I believe drop-ins are another story because you are in the client's home. I don't think the client would want you to bring any other dogs into their home.

There isn’t a clear answer because the Rover platform facilitates each sitter/walker having their own business and remain independent contractors. This results in each service provider being free to structure an agreement with each client as to what is expected. Some clients may be fine with it and some clients may not. Since you think your dog is a good fit, I’d suggest mentioning it in your reply to their first contact “great, when can my dog and I meet with you and your dog?” That allows the dogs get to know each other before a booked walk or drop in visit.

This is an important distinction from some other dog walking sites, where you are an employee and have to follow their rules.
