Dogs will not want to soil where they sleep, which is why crates usually are a great solution. A general rule of thumb is a puppy can only hold bladder for 1 hours for each month of age (6mo. Puppy=6 hours max.)

The best solution may be If you can have someone walk puppy or provide daycare on workdays (especially if this is a reoccurring need, which may result in a lower frequent client rate). Ask lots of questions as to how many dogs they care for, what a typical day looks like, to find your right match.

If that’s not an option, be sure to walk dog before you go to work...and you may want to consider buying belly bands ( basically it’s a strip of fabric that wraps around with Velcro closure and absorbent pad/also can add removable disposable pad). When puppy starts to discharge urine and feels sensation that he’s getting wet, most dogs will stop peeing.
