2 Dogs that do not get along. Should I contact the owners?

I have two dogs from Rover that are not getting along. Both dogs are completely fine with my little dog but for some reason hate each other. Do I contact both owners? Do I cancel one of their stays early?

The answer depends on more considerations. Does their level of hate pose liability/foreseeable injury? Did either owner disclose that their dog has issues getting along with others? If yes, did they share any training techniques/tools successfully used? Are you able to safely keep the two dogs separate? How much longer are each of the stays?

In your daily update, you could let each owner know how the stay is going (Be sure to include some of the positive news, even if that’s only related to eating or walking and present the issues in a way that solicits their opinion without causing defensiveness about their dog — might be along the lines of rover 1 isn’t enjoying the company of rover 2 & the two dogs have exchanged snarls/ fill in the blank. I want the dogs to have enjoyable time, do you have any Suggestions? )

If their level of animosity was something you could easily control (such as resource guarding with toys, water, food, space, you), you could wait until the stay ends and let them know when they pick up the dog that their dog disliked company of other dog (knowledge for future bookings)
