Why is my dog being aggressive?

Hi community,

I have two pitbulls. A red nose and blue nose that are super sweet. My dog sitter reported that the female red nose bit another dog smaller than her, which required emergency surgery. Both of my dogs are two years old now have only been with each other in my home without issue. The male blue nose is super chilled and relaxed, but much bigger than the female red nose.

My concern is what could set my female off when it comes to smaller dogs than her? She’s been in my care since 5-6 weeks old and given the upmost love and care. Absolutely do not tolerate aggression or violence when it comes to them or any other pet.

I’m interested in getting training for both of them, especially with the female who’s super sweet, but don’t know exactly when and why she might become irritable striking another pet. Cats, squirrels and at times shadows of something set her off not realizing shes not big and bad.

Thank you for any input you may have .

Only one answer for this, and I own 6 pitbulls all intact 4 male 2 female, and I run a tighter ship than the Queen Mary! Look up Beckmans Dog Training, as he's the best with aggression. But if it's more neurotic type behavior, like a specific dog size or an odd trigger, then you need Upstate Canine Training Academy. If your in the UK, then Fenrir is your guy.

I’m not a pitbull expert. It’s definitely time to locate a trainer who uses positive reinforcement techniques. Clearly communicate to this trainer, that your female red nose Bit a smaller dog while being boarded with a sitter. Confirm that they have experience and can be successful in working with you on All that needs to be done so this doesn’t happen again. Legally, all bites are supposed to be reported to animal control. Initially animal control frequently will impose a 14 day stay at home quarantine. Second and third… Offenses can result in more severe consequences. You really need to make sure that you do every bit of socialization and training necessary, so that you don’t face having to euthanize for these types of problems.

When dogs are not in their home environment, they are with different humans and sometimes different pets, that’s when a myriad problems can often appear that will not appear at home. If these were my dogs, I probably would never take a chance of Boarding again. Instead, I would look for a House Sitter and confirm that that person will not bring their pets with them. Or you could possibly book multiple walking visits daily while you’re away.

Did you ask the sitter what happened in that situation? If not, you need to. There is going to be a clue as to why your female dog bit a smaller dog (might have thought it was prey, or the smaller dog approached the wrong way, etc). Then you need to work with a trainer to see if that can help the situation the next time.

No dogs are handled too Difficult. It totally depends on how we treat them. you just need to give them love, Training, and proper food. I have also multiple pets in my house so I can Understand How dogs behave. In starting my American bully was Quite aggressive with other pets but now she is very friendly with other pets just because of the trainer I hired the previous year for Her. She also tried to Escape many times in starting but with the help of FOUND ME she came back every time. you just need a good Personal trainer for her. I hope this suggestion will help you and one more Please Try to hire a Female Train It will be more helpful for you...
