What to do if sitter lied?
So, it was my first time using Rover and I specifically mentioned to the sitter that my 2 dogs are not neutered and that they do not like bigger dogs. The sitter said that he wont have any other dogs during their 5-day stay at his place. He also didn't say anything about my dogs being intact even if i wrote it in my rover notes and told them during the meet and greet. i also specifically requested to have photos of them. When my dog stayed at his place, he sent photos for the first 2 days and he started complaining that my dogs peed inside his house. My 2 dogs are small dogs and once they have peed enough during their walk, they do not pee for a few hours. For the next days (days 3 to 5), he didn't update me on anything about the dogs other than that they peed again inside. I offered to pay for cleaning services because he kept on complaining. On the last day, he sent me a text saying how horrible my dogs are (because they peed at his place). This is a sitter who also has a pet sitting/pet boarding house. I was thinking, peeing due to anxiety (or even whatever reason) should be a risk he should consider, given his "business." I wouldnt ever want my dogs to stay with a dog sitter who calls my dog "horrible" and can't even handle the simplest thing. Also, he lied, when i picked up my dogs, there were 2 other large dogs in his house. I want to know what the others think regarding the action of the pet sitter.
Hate to tell you this, but every male dog that has stayed w us has marked in our house. Its far worse when you dont neuter them actually. And check his profile, if he doesnt specify only taking one household, he can board multiple dogs.
