Questionable client activity?

A new client booked me using his "sister's" account. The whole time I was thinking I was communicating with Ms. Doe, when in actuality, it was a Mr. Doe. I only became aware of Mr. Doe when we chatted on the phone to confirm boarding details. Now my guard is up even though Mr. Doe paid for the boarding. What would you do? Also, I don't let owners in my home for safety reasons.

If it was booked through rover, I would probably be less concerned. Maybe they want to keep all the family dogs booked under one account, for whatever reason. If there’s any information that you still need, Ask for it. If you want it documented so rover staff can review if necessary later, use the rover messages. And I think there’s a significant number of sitters now (especially after going through pandemic) that do not invite owners inside home.
