Sitters, are you aware that Rover is now publicizing your last minute cancellations?
I noticed this posting at the top of a sitter's review section with a date that "[Person’s name] cancelled a booking x days before it was scheduled to begin."
In the info hypertext, it stated: This automatic message is posted each time a provider cancels a booking on short notice. Sometimes last-minute cancellations can’t be helped, but it’s hard to find alternative pet care when they do happen.
From a pet owner's standpoint, this can be useful information to have. If they saw multiple messages like that, I would imagine no one would book that sitter unless they were truly desperate.
This makes my profile look bad. I had lost my job and got another one thankfully quickly but it was in office so my potty break times went from 0-2 hours to 4-8 hours and I had an owner complain and I had to cancel because they didn’t want that. How is that my fault when it’s out of my control???
