How to keep dogs from eating each other's food?

Even after I put them in separate rooms they won't eat unless they can get to the other dogs food.

My dog eats in the dining room and the guest dog eats in the kitchen, where I can monitor. I close off the hallway with a baby gate if the guest dog still tries to go after my dog's food. If the guest dog doesn't eat his food within 15 minutes, it is picked up. Eventually the dog will understand he has a brief window of opportunity and should eat his food first before looking or trying to get someone else's. There can be no free feeding when you have more than one dog around. If I have a second guest dog, then I put the bowl in another location around the corner from the kitchen and where I can monitor both their activity to ensure each eats his own food.

I separate the dogs into different rooms and areas. You can use a bedroom, bathroom, yard, etc... to split them up.

Separate feelings.. Either at different times or in different rooms. Sometimes they will even get fed in their kennels only and then taken straight outside when they're done.
