When you charge for a walk what amount of time do you charge for?

I am charging $10 a walk for 30 minutes. Is that good or bad. Would $12 be too much for 30 minutes? It says on profile 30 minutes and you pick rate. Does it have to be 30 minute what if I want to charge $10-12 for one hour?

You can charge whatever you wish for whatever duration you wish. Like you noticed, Rover's system is designed for 30 min walks, but you can discuss walk lengths you want to offer and their costs with owners in your discussions with them. In my area, your rates would be very low. I charge on the low side with $15 for 30 minutes. You'll want to check out what others in your area are charging to determine what the average is, and then base your rate off of that.

I agree with Laura. I charge $15 per walk and am on the higher side for my area. I do 30 minute walks, unless there is a special circumstance that was previously discussed. Sometimes i go a little longer because time allows it and/or it's a nice day and both the dog and I are enjoying our time too much to end the walk.

Agreed - my walking slots are 30 minutes minimum. We may stick to that time if I've got places to be, but I've also had my regular walker for up to an hour or so.
