Passionate Fatherly Love & Care

Pet care experience

Paternal love & care for every pet. Located in the southern section of Clermont (34714) Meet your sitter: My name is Michael Lisby. I named my service Paternal Pet Care because I feel a paternal connection to my own dogs and the many furkids I interact with every week. My wife and I have owned and loved dogs since we were little. We adopted a 3-month-old pup named Tesla from Last Day Dog Rescue in Michigan in 2014 and a 2-year-old rescue named Jacob in 2016. Why choose me? Safety is always of the utmost importance. I believe one of the things that sets me apart from my fellow pet sitters is continuing education. I always want to bring the best to my clients and ensure that your pets are being taken care of by a professional, educated pet sitter. I am Bonded & Insured with Business Insurers of the Carolinas, I have been certified in pet CPR & First Aid since 2015 (renewed in 2017 & 2019) and a Certified Professional Pet Sitter since 2017. The CPPS Certified Professional Pet Sitter™ designation encompasses both educational and ethical components to ensure pet owners when they choose a pet sitter with this designation they’re getting the very best in the industry. I have worked at a well known pet care center in Orlando, Florida for over 2 years and have volunteered at South Lake Animal League helping with several events providing information about the rescue and handling the dogs we bring to show off. Volunteering for a rescue has helped me understand how important the treatment of these animals are and how even with showing just a little bit of love and attention can bring out the best in them. I know how important obedience is to a happy and healthy dog and home. I have attended puppy socialization and positive reinforcement training classes with my own dogs. Even after classes are over, I continue to practice our training on a daily basis. Every dog I sit for will learn basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, release (from sit & wait), come, and leave it using positive reinforcement and clicker training. I will also be happy to work on any other commands you have taught them. Every dog walk or overnight visit will include a one on one walk that focuses on walking to one side without pulling. Dogs living in the same household will be walked together unless in cases of special circumstances upon request. In addition to Dog Sitting, I offer Cat Sitting, Overnight House Sitting and am able to take care of a small animals too! If you would like to know more about me or the services I offer, please feel free to let me know. Services: Dog Walking - 1 - 1 1/2 mile walk for 30 minutes. Due to the high tempatures in summer, all walks will be reduced and extra time will be spent playing inside. All dogs will walk one on one and will work on walking to one side and not pulling on the leash. Walks are best scheduled a week in advance Scheduled Dog Visit - 30 minute visits include time to eat and play and a potty break in the backyard for your dog. ($20 per visit) Scheduled Cat Visit - 30 minute visits include time to eat and play. Michael always provide excellent care. Gives out medications and plenty of love and attention as if caring for his own “fur” babies.

Michael was fantastic. Very professional, responded very quickly and did a great job. Will definitely use him again next time I'm in town and need someone to care for my dog while I'm out all day.
