**04/13/21** My senior dog was recently diagnosed with Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). As a result of this, I may have to alter my availability and/or decline more active dogs if and when he has a flare up. We are hoping he recovers fully and just needs to adjust his activity level a bit... but we're still figuring all of this out. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding and compassion.*** I've taken care of dogs and cats (and a few hermit crabs, hamsters and birds) my entire life and can't imagine life without a pet. I promise to take care of your pets as if they were my very own. Experience includes administering medications, caring for senior pets, walking and training dogs.

Laura was terrific. She took great care of our dog and communicated well. She sent my daughter pictures so she wouldn’t miss the dog so much. I’m 100% impressed and would use Laura again in a heart beat.
Laura was amazing. My dog was a recent rescue who was very skittish and timid. Laura made her feel comfortable immediately and got her to come out of her shell. Laura’s communication was awesome and she sent messages and photos. It made it much easier to be away for a week.
Laura made it so easy, she was friendly and welcoming and made me feel comfortable bringing my dog to her home. My little Yorkshire terrier looked so happy in the pictures that Laura sent me! Laura pampered her and took really good care of her, taking her for a couple of walks in the snow and playing with her.My dog had a really good day there and I was very satisfied.

Your dog will be right at home here. I have a large, fenced in yard and a variety of dog toys and squirrels to chase during play time. Inside, there's plenty of great napping spots, and of course, a mailman to bark at. Overnight sleeping accommodations are kept as close to your home routine as possible (crated or not crated, etc.) to ensure comfort. My dog, Cooper, is an older gentleman who mostly keeps to himself but will play with other dogs on occasion. I'm happy to fill in for him though, so fun will be had! For extra peace of mind, I also have audio and video surveillance of my entire property and fence gates cannot be unlocked from the outside. Location! Location! Location! As an added bonus, I'm located in close proximity to a park and dog park to help keep play and exercise interesting and fun.

To ensure that I am able to provide the best possible care for your pet, I will want to learn a little bit more from you about their personality, routine, play preferences, training, treating, walking/walking equipment and anything else that is important to their happiness, safety, and well-being. If you are requesting services for a pet with current or chronic health issues, a note from a veterinarian ensuring other animals are not at risk of exposure and any other information critical to the care and well-being of your pet will be requested. COVID-19 UPDATE: In support of the well-being of both pets and people, given the Covid-19 pandemic additional precautions will be taken. If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or has been diagnosed with Covid-19, I ask that you please disclose this information prior to any pet sitting, walking or boarding services so that I may make an informed decision for myself, my family, and my own pets. I also request that all pet owners abide by safety recommendations of the CDC and local government and wear a mask when dropping off or picking up pets. In the event that an arrangement of services is deemed unsafe or against current orders, services will be canceled with as much notice as absolutely possible.
A typical day
Your pet's happiness and well-being is my priority! Recognizing the needs of different breeds and individual pets-- appropriate care, play and exercise will be discussed with you in advance. Options for playtime include (but aren't limited to) running around or playing fetch in my fenced in backyard, going for a walk at the nearby park, visiting the dog park, and running through tricks with treats! And if your pet simply prefers company while they nap, I'm happy to let them snuggle up next to me or in their favorite dog bed.

I currently work from home and can adjust my schedule accordingly to ensure your pets get the perfect amount of time and attention. Although I'm happy to be flexible when I am able to, I'm best able to accommodate new clients with advanced notice.
