About: I am a true lover of animals and have been around dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes since I was young. My family breeds Havenese dogs so I have extensive experience with small to medium dogs. I grew up with large Dobermans, so I am also comfortable with large dogs. While taking care of your animal I will put their needs first to ensure our time together is as enjoyable for them as it is for me. Please let me know if there is any additional needs your furry friend may have. I work from home so I am always available to take care of my pets. This will also allow me to bring my work with me to any location. The only other animal in the home is my cat Pandora and she is quiet and non-confrontational. She also has lots of experience living with dogs. Ensuring all of the animals needs are taken care of is my number one priority. I will always prioritize their safety by following any instructions given by their owner and make sure they receive plenty of love and affection.

About: My family had a Great Pyrenees/Collie mix for 5 years. We raised her since she was a puppy until adulthood, when my father had to give her away (moving). My dad has since gotten 2 kittens who I love with all my heart in Alberta, which I visit. Since then, I've always wanted a dog or cat, however, I have plans to attend Medical school internationally and am afraid of having to give them away. The majority of my work is done online; I usually only have 1 class a day. Wednesdays, Fridays, and the weekends, I have no class whatsoever and like to stay home all day. “Nicholas is the most trustworthy, loving and caring dog sitter you can ever find. As his mom, I can truly attest that his passion for caring for dogs is in his DNA. I knew we had to get a family dog when I saw his face and eyes light up during his first encounter with a dog when he was just a toddler. Our family dog became his most cherished little furry best friend. They bonded, always playing and sleeping together. Our dog would stand in front of his bedroom door until one of us would let him inside. Nicholas enjoyed taking him for walks and playing ball in the park. He helped him to do laps in our pool to minimize the impact of his hip dysplasia. Nicholas demonstrated even greater care and compassion during our family dog’s senior years. As our dog is now 13 years old, his hip dysplasia has resulted in disabling mobility issues. Nicholas bought him special joint supplements and carries him in his arms to lessen the discomfort to his joints when climbing or found down the stairs/sofa. He even bought him a doggie stroller to help him continue to enjoy walks in the neighbourhood, and insisted on us getting him doggie stairs for the sofa.He covers his hips with a heating pad, wraps him on blankets and buys him treats to keep him as happy in his senior years as during his active puppy years despite his lack of mobility. Since leaving the family home, Nicholas misses our family dog lots!!! So look no further! Taking care of your furry family friend would truly be a special treat for our son Nicholas. No chore at all! He will care for your dog with the loving and compassionate care you expect!!!”

“Let me tell you, Mary has become my pup's HEAVEN SENT TEACHER. I booked Mary for the first time last December, and I was an emotional wreck dropping my pup (Phoebe) off for the first time. However, even just getting back from that first vacation away from my pup, she was SO much better behaved. In 2 days, Mary was able to teach her basic commands such as paw and sit- I was in SHOCK. Ever since that first visit, phoebe has been seeing Mary every week for training. I hate to admit this, but my puppy likes Mary more than me- every time we have training, my pup is sitting and crying at my door waiting to jump into the car because she knows she is going to Mary’s. Phoebe forgets about me in 0.5 seconds when we get there and leaps into Mary’s arms- it’s her favourite place! When getting a dachshund, I was under the impression that training would be very difficult. Mary proved that trope wrong quite quickly! Phoebe is now a very well-behaved little puppy. Just to give you an idea of what Mary has done with her, here are all the commands my pup now knows that Mary taught her (Keep in mind phoebe had NO training beforehand and did not know anything): 1. Sit 2. Lie down 3. Stay 4. Go to bed 5. Paw 6. Head down (this one is very cute) 7. Rollover (I did not even think this would be physically possible for a puppy of wiener dimensions) 8. Name recall 9. Quiet/Settle down 10. Walking etiquette (listening, not pulling, commands on walk etc) 11. Inside 12. Outside 13. Up on the couch 14. Off the couch 15. Spin around 16. Leave it alone 17. Wait (we do this before food, and she waits every time until I say “OK”) This is just off the top of my head, I'm sure my pup knows more! I'm surprised every time I pick phoebe up from Marys because she always learns something new. I almost don’t want to make this review cause I want to keep Mary all to myself and not let anyone else know how great of a trainer she is. But, if you are in Kingston and looking for quite literally a dog training prodigy, contact mary.”
