“Honestly, where do I even begin? Lexi is one of the most kind, selfless, genuine human beings that I have ever met. We have been best friends for 20 years and I could not be more proud of the woman she has turned into. A little bit about Lexi… It all began with a sweet pup named Dolly who was her heart and soul. This is when Lexi truly fell in love with dogs. Dolly was Lexis sidekick, best friend, ride or die. After a few years, Lexi decided to get Dolly a sister to help her stay ‘youthful’… and along came Macie. Together, they were the dynamic duo. After Dolly fell ill, Lexi had a huge hole in her heart which needed mending. She became aware of so many dogs from the States who were in need of a loving home. She rescued her first dog, Xena from South Carolina and it was an instant connection. They were meant to be. Not too long after, she fostered Clay, (which lasted one day until she adopted him…) Clay is still very timid, and unsure of humans but has put all of his love and trust into Lexi. Since then, she has continued to work full time as a dental assistant, volunteer for Niagara Dog Rescue, open her own business ‘Raise the Woof’ dog training and take care of Macie, Xena, Clay and rescue cat, Hemi.
