“When my wife and I prepared for a weeklong vacation, we were nervous -- we had never left our cats home alone that long, and even when we've had a friendly neighbor willing to come by to feed them and clean litter, we know our cats get anxious without regular affection. Cue Helena to our rescue! Prior to booking, she was highly communicative, flexible (we had to amend our booking schedule for drop-in visits of varying duration on different days), and willing to come do a visit to meet us and the cats before we confirmed the booking. During her drop-in visits, Helena sent excellent written updates with heartwarming photos of our cats; she even lulled our shy cat out from his hiding place. These great updates -- and the care from an attentive cat lover -- really gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation knowing that our cats were well taken care of. We actually looked forward to her updates each day we were away! Beyond carefully following our instructions, Helena went above and beyond -- we had to switch litter right before our trip, which led to some messes that she promptly cleaned; she even vacuumed up messy litter, put dirty dishes away, ran the dishwasher, and brought in packages from the mail. I would strongly recommend Helena for catsitting services. Before this trip, the longest vacation we had taken was a long weekend; knowing we can re-book Helena in the future, we feel confident that we can take vacations more often and have our cats well loved and cared for while we are away. She scheduled time to meet beforehand to ensure she was prepared and sent updates and photos regularly. She was super communicative and great to work with. I came home to a well taken care of home and happy pets. She was also kind enough to bring in any mail/packages for me without even asking! 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and trustworthy pet sitter!”
